Home and Community Care
HCSG provides services to help older people, people with a disability and their carers to assist them to continue living independently at home. This support includes:
- assistance with everyday household tasks including some home maintenance and gardening
- assistance to enhance nutrition, function, strength, independence and safety
- assistance to support your independence in your personal care activities such as showering and dressing
- assistance to continue with social activities such as shopping, banking and maintaining social contacts
- support for carers, by providing in-home respite
- Day centre services for older people and people with dementia include:
- interactive social activities,
- men’s groups,
- a day centre specifically for Aboriginal people,
- weekly shopping services to Mundaring and Midland, and
- activities in the community through a mobile day centre service. - The Get Away Club, which facilitates recreational and social opportunities through group activities for “well” older people. The club promotes social and community activities to assist people to remain independent and connected to the community.
