Disability Accommodation Services
Disability Accomodation Services offers full-time supported accommodation to enable adults with disabilities to live in, and become participating members of, the community. Personal funding is required for this service.
HCSG’s Disability Acommodation Service is open to anyone with a disability who requires 24 hour care seven days a week and has personal funding for accommodation. HCSG has Community Living houses in the eastern metropolitan region, from Morley to Mt Helena, each catering for three to five residents.
Each resident is allocated accommodation in a house that has a physical environment to match their needs. Accommodation is also subject to compatibility between residents.
An individual plan is developed for each resident with input from family and significant others. The plan covers all areas of the resident’s life including health, recreation, day to day home life, communication and contact with family and friends.
HCSG supports families to be involved in the resident’s life to the extent that they are willing and able to.
