Memorandum of Understanding
Between
Midland Brick Company Pty. Ltd.
and
HCSG Inc. (Hills Community Support Group Inc.)

This document defines a Partnership for Building Communities between Midland Brick Company Pty. Ltd. and Hills Community Support Group Inc. This Memorandum of Understanding aims to provide the framework for the ongoing development of community-based initiatives between the parties.

Midland Brick Company Pty. Ltd.

Midland Brick Company Pty. Ltd. is part of the Boral Group and provides quality building products to domestic and international markets. The company provides employment for approximately 700 people and is committed to the ongoing development of the local community, of which it is a key part.

Midland Brick Company Pty. Ltd. undertakes to;

• work in partnership to develop and implement meaningful and sustainable community development initiatives;
• provide practical support to turn great ideas into realities;
• create community / industry links and promote the benefits of the partnership.

Hills Community Support Group Inc.

Hills Community Support Group Inc. is a benevolent organisation, which provides services to Youth at Risk, People with Disabilities, Frail-aged people and Carers. Services are provided in the Eastern Metropolitan Region.

Hills Community Support Group Inc. undertakes to;

• Identify opportunities to enhance community well-being in the area of aged, youth and people with disabilities;
• Develop and manage projects which provide work opportunities for unemployed youth;
• Promote the partnership and the benefit it brings to the community.

Both parties will:

• Promote the implementation of initiatives as Best Practice models for the benefit of youth through joint publicity and other means;
• Identify opportunities for the ongoing development of the Partnership;
• Recognise the value of input from a range of community-based initiatives.
