Volunteering at HCSG

HCSG began as a volunteer run organisation in July 1983 and Volunteers remain an integral part of the organisation.

Volunteer positions include:

  • driving consumers to medical and hospital appointments,
  • assisting in Day Centre activities (craft, outings, games, Mens Group),
  • social support
  • recreation "Buddy" for people with disabilities
  • other short term special projects.

Your involvement as a volunteer would add value to any program or project you decide to become involved in. As a volunteer you will incur no out-of-pocket expenses and you will have access to insurance cover, social activities, training and learning opportunities. You will also enjoy working with a great team of people, building friendships and being part of a new experience.

HCSG Volunteers are required to complete a Volunteer Registration Form, complete a Confidentiality Agreement and give HCSG permission to obtain a Police Clearance (at no cost to the volunteer).
